Kim Ha Yeon is an ordinary 18-year-old girl who dreams of a life as dramatic as the ones she sees on screen. Her life takes an unexpected, mystical turn when she heads to the unfamiliar countryside village of Upo-ri for her summer break. There, she crosses paths with Jo Yu Gyeom, the heir to a traditional noble family, and his girlfriend, Sae Ryeong. While he possesses stunning looks and a genius talent for swimming, he lives a colorless existence constrained by old-fashioned rules and repetitive routines. Ha-yeon, an ordinary second-year high school student, heads to Upo-ri with her parents for summer vacation. Struggling with friendships and family relationships, she unexpectedly meets Yu-gyeom, the young heir of a traditional Korean family. The two then experience something unbelievably mysterious.
There Was No Desire to Die
Ha-yeon goes to Upo High School for extra classes. After sharing a special moment with Yu-gyeom, she gets angry at him for already having a girlfriend. However, Yu-gyeom continues to ask Ha-yeon to keep seeing him. The two share another special moment. When Yu-gyeom’s girlfriend, Sae-ryeong, finds out, she visits Ha-yeon late at night.
